Alot of Yoruba references in his raps as of late though. I personally don’t fuck w/ polytheistic religions w/ rituals despite how “African” and “Original Black Man” they are. I’m way more of a “personal-relationship-w/ God, the Creator-in-a-non-denominational, non-conventional-Christian” type of believer, but I love that Ant is reaching through the cosmos to find something that’s real to himself and attach himself to it creatively while retrospectively paying homage to a past love on this track.

If he feels it draws him closer to the divine, so be it. Every man has to find God and inner peace for himself. In the interim, bump this shit, it goes hard.
